Usambara mountains

The Usambara Mountains are not only home to the violet of the same name, but are also one of the oldest mountain ranges on our planet. After an approximately 8-hour drive from Dar es Salaam, you will discover the Usambara Mountains on the horizon. Then you climb the next 2400 meters of altitude on tight serpentines and take a trip into the past. In Lushoto, formerly Wilhelmstal, you will discover numerous documents of German and British colonial history.
